Isle of Wight's Needles rocks 'are spectacular'
Wed 25 Aug 2010
The Needles rocks set off the west coast of the Isle of Wight are a "spectacular" place to visit for those heading to the island for a holiday.
This is the view of a spokesman from the Isle of Wight Council, who singled out the rock formation as one of the must-see sights during an Isle of Wight holiday.
"Get a close up of the famous coloured sands cliffs and the famous Needles chalk stacks that rise out of the sea by taking the chairlift down to the beach," he advised.
The spokesman added that a good view of the Needles could also be achieved by taking a hike down the Tennyson Trail.
He noted that another place to visit for tourists on Isle of Wight holidays could be Dimbola Lodge, which houses an exhibition on the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival.
Thousands of revellers will set off soon on Isle of Wight holidays to attend Bestival, which gets underway on September 9th 2010 and is headlined by The Flaming Lips and Dizzee Rascal.
