Isle of Wight walk recommended by newspaper

Tourists booking Isle of Wight holidays have been recommended a walk to take on during their time on the island.

Speaking to the Telegraph, head warden at the National Trust Robin Lang told keen walkers to head to the car park at Mottistone Manor to start the trek.

He explained that the fields someone on the trip around Sudmoor Point would traverse are packed with all kinds of wildlife.

"It becomes easy to immerse yourself in the landscape's wild beauty. The arrival of autumn sees berries starting to form in the hedgerows and maybe the last swallows feeding up before they migrate," added Mr Lang.

He said tourists on Isle of Wight holidays should also take a trip to Mottistone Church, which is one of the oldest places of worship on the island, dating back to Saxon times.

Mottistone Manor itself is well worth a visit, boasting a Mediterranean-style planting scheme, an olive grove and a traditional tea garden in its expansive grounds.
