Isle of Wight tourists urged to visit Chessell Pottery Barns
Wed 1 Sep 2010
Tourists taking Isle of Wight holidays have been advised to head to Chessell Pottery Barns during their time on the island.
The Isle of Wight Council has unveiled a programme of events designed to persuade people to head to the island when schoolchildren on the mainland enjoy their half-term break in October.
It noted that the designs on offer at Autumn Days at Chessell Pottery Barns include something for everyone, with these including forests, fairies and gnomes.
"Finish off with a bowl of roasted butternut squash or pumpkin soup at the pottery's award-winning cafe - all home-made on the premises," added the Isle of Wight Council.
Other destinations singled out by the council for tourists on Isle of Wight holidays included Blackgang Chine, Appley Park in Ryde, V-Bay Festival at Ventnor and the Isle of Wight Steam Railway's Wizard Week.
The latter takes place from October 25th to 31st 2010 and features dressing-up contests and Halloween fun for all the family on their Isle of Wight holiday.
