Isle of Wight Symphony Orchestra season opens this weekend

Last-minute Isle of Wight holidays could be booked by Isle of Wight holidays due to the fact that a new season of performances is opening on the island in the coming days.

Land of the Mountain and the Flood by Hamish McCunn is to be played on Saturday night (November 19th), while young violinist Eloisa-Fleur Thom will take to the stage later in the evening to join the Isle of Wight Symphony Orchestra for a rendition of Dvorak's lyrical violin concerto, reports VentnorBlog.

The Royal Academy of Music student has been awarded the Edwin Samuel Dove Prize and the Mary Burgess Prize for BMus Graduates Academic Achievement.

Those wanting to go along to the show can buy tickets from the venue hosting the show, the Medina Theatre in Newport.

Future events at the location include a performance by the Isle of Wight Gospel Choir on December 6th and an ABBA tribute band playing on December 9th.
