Isle of Wight Steam Show takes place this weekend
Thu 26 Aug 2010
Tourists taking Isle of Wight holidays this weekend can attend the Isle of Wight Steam Show during their time on the island.
From tomorrow (August 27th 2010) the island is hosting the event at the Isle of Wight Steam Railway.
Although there is something on offer for everyone, highlights over the course of the weekend are likely to include Mr Alexander's Travelling Show for the kids and the chance to get a meal at the Railway's Refreshment Rooms.
"There really is lots to keep you entertained all day - The Island Steam Show will make your August Bank Holiday a weekend to remember," commented the organisers.
Those who do attend the Isle of Wight Steam Show during their holiday on the island should keep an eye out for birds of prey such as sparrow hawks and kestrels after they pass under Deacons Lane Bridge, as they often perch on the fence posts next to the railway line.
