Isle of Wight Photographer of the Year exhibition recommended

People taking Isle of Wight holidays this spring may wish to take a unique look at the island's natural attractions.

Quay Arts in Newport is currently staging the Isle of Wight Photographer of the Year exhibition, which includes images of landscapes, wild flowers and various animals.

It has been flagged up as a great place to visit by the BBC Weekend Guide, which stated that it contains 50 "breathtaking" photographs.

"The exhibition showcases the diverse range of both amateur and professional [photographers] on the Isle of Wight," the site commented.

People visiting Newport will be able to enjoy the exhibition, which started this week, until May 10th 2010.

It is free to enter and is open every Monday to Saturday.

The recommendation from the BBC has already been welcomed by the organisers of the Isle of Wight Photographer of the Year competition, who described it as a "good bit of advertising".
