Isle of Wight holiday could feature Wolverton Garden Fair
Tue 31 Aug 2010
Tourists heading for their Isle of Wight holidays later this week could attend a garden fair during their time on the island.
Wolverton Manor Garden Fair is taking place on Saturday and Sunday (September 4th and 5th 2010), which means a day out at the event could be ideal for those spending the weekend on the Isle of Wight.
Entrance is only £5 for each day, with the Sunday highlight likely to be the live performance by Irish band Last Orders during the afternoon's festivities.
Those heading to the fair as part of their Isle of Wight holiday can also be assured that they will be doing their bit for charity, as Age Concern is set to benefit from the fundraising.
Sir John Hammond built Wolverton Manor after the death of his son-in-law Sir John Dingley and the Jacobean house was improved in the 18th century.
It is currently the home of the Patterson family, who open it up to visitors by prior arrangement.
