Isle of Wight agricultural show to attract visitors

Preparations are being finalised for the Royal Isle of Wight Agricultural Society Show.

The event will be taking place on June 29th and promises to be one of the highlights of the calendar for those in the Isle of Wight as it offers something for all of the family. Attendees can also expect to find out more about many aspects of country life and farming on the island.

Among the activities people can observe are carriage driving, falconry displays, a livestock champions parade and show jumping. A full timetable of events has been planned and so holidaymakers on the island will not be let down.

Andrew Crawford, director of the Country Land and Business Association (CLA) Game Fair, wants to see plenty of individuals showing their support for this summer's show season. As outdoor events are the lifeblood of rural communities, he thinks it's good if communities do their utmost to support local businesses.

"We are calling for a massive show of support for the organisers, exhibitors and traders at all of this year's outdoor shows to help give the countryside a significant boost," he added.

BCM and Pure Energy Green have announced they will be supporting the event by providing refreshments for those who visit. The pair recognise the importance of the fair and so are more than happy to be taking part.

CLA Isle of Wight director Belinda Walters labelled the event as a "fantastic day out for all of the family", as it is a great opportunity for people to see up close and personal some of the rural parts of the island.

Speaking to the Isle of Wight Mail, She said: "The CLA is proud to support this one-day event that showcases the best of British."

With a history stretching back to 1874, the Royal Isle of Wight Agricultural Society seeks to promote and support agriculture on the island through the use of volunteers. The county show is the main event it holds every year. ADNFCR-3083-ID-801601215-ADNFCR
