Isle of Wight 'is a place for grown-up pleasures'

Tourists looking for somewhere to enjoy a place for grown-up pleasures have been encouraged to book Isle of Wight holidays.

Writing for the Daily Telegraph, travel journalist Sasha Powell stated that the island has been one of the most popular spots for a break in the UK for many years.

She explained that it is the "perfect place to relive some of the simple delights of summers past: relaxing on the beautiful sandy beaches, visiting theme parks and hunting along its fossil-?lled heritage coastline".

Ms Powell added that Isle of Wight holidays can start with a comfortable trip to the island by local ferry operator Red Funnel.

She also praised the "burgeoning food culture" of the Isle of Wight, with a number of top chefs trying out the island in recent months for new pop-up restaurant ventures.

This growing trend was recently noted by Matt and Cat of the Isle of Wight Eating Out Guide, who gave a positive review to Chez Mourad, a pop-up Moroccan eatery in Ventnor.
