Anita Dobson: I love the Isle of Wight

Anita Dobson has stated she loves the Isle of Wight, perhaps encouraging people to take holidays on the island.

The former EastEnders actress is visiting the area with her husband, Queen guitarist Brian May, who is promoting a new book.

In an interview with local news source VentnorBlog, Dobson explained she has been working on a play at the Arts Theatre in London that tells the story of the relationship between stars Bette Davies and Joan Crawford during the shooting of the film What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?

"I wanted to be an actress that people think of when they pick up a play. I want to be established," she told the website.

Dobson's partner May was quoted by the news provider earlier in the week as saying he has not been to the island since he went on Isle of Wight holidays as a young child.

He added he is looking forward to going out and about and exploring the area.
