Woman plans Isle of Wight Festival trip before going blind

A woman who has been told she is facing going blind in the coming months intends to go to this summer's Isle of Wight Festival, as well as a range of other locations, before her operation.

Jade Salero has a condition called craniopharyngioma and is going under the knife to remove a cyst on her brain.

But doctors have warned she may lose her sight as a result of the operation and the 27-year-old has put together a list of places she wants to see beforehand.

The Isle of Wight Festival is among them and Ms Salero will also be heading to Canada’s Niagara Falls and the Grand Canyon in the US.

She said: "The surgeons have said to hold on for as long as I can and I'm going to do that because everything will change - the person who I am will change."

Ms Salero will have the chance to enjoy acts such as Jessie J, Madness, Feeder and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds at this year's Isle of Wight Festival.
