Primal Scream announce warm-ups for Isle of Wight Festival

Fans looking forward to seeing Primal Scream at the Isle of Wight Festival will be pleased to hear the band has announced a trio of warm-up shows for the event.

The band are the headline act for the opening night of the festival and to make sure they are on top form they are going to be playing at Inverness Ironworks, Aberdeen Music Hall and Dunoon Queen Hall in the days leading up to the show, reports the Daily Record.

Primal Scream are also performing at Hop Farm Festival this summer, as well as acting as a support group for The Stone Roses at their giant comeback gigs at Heaton Park in Manchester.

Announcing the addition of Bobby Gillespie's band to the bill of the Isle of Wight Festival earlier in the year, the organisers stated they have been "widely acclaimed by critics as one of the defining groups of the 1990s".

Tracks such as Loaded and Come Together are likely included as part of their set on the island.
