Isle of Wight Festival 'to be the best ever'

The 2011 Isle of Wight Festival is set to be the best ever, according to the organiser of the event.

John Giddings stated that there is something for everyone on the bill, which led to the bash selling out the 65,000 available tickets before Christmas - the fastest time ever.

"We have gone more rocky this year with three of the most contemporary rock acts in the world," he told the Portsmouth News.

Kasabian, Foo Fighters and Kings of Leon are the headline bands for the event, which takes place at Seaclose Park, while Pulp, Tom Jones and Manic Street Preachers will also be performing during the weekend.

Mr Giddings added that he is now "praying" the weather holds out for the duration of the Isle of Wight Festival.

The Met Office is predicting that there will be sunshine tomorrow (June 10th 2011) for the opening day of the event, but it could rain in the evening.
