Camping tickets sold out for Isle of Wight Festival

Music fans hoping to attend the Isle of Wight Festival will no longer be able to purchase camping tickets for the event.

This could lead to increased numbers of people taking Isle of Wight holidays to coincide with the event and booking hotels or holiday cottages instead of camping at the festival site.

According to Virtual Festivals, there are no more camping tickets available for the bash, which takes place from June 11th-13th 2010 at Seaclose Park in Newport.

The increased demand for tickets to the Isle of Wight Festival, which is this year headlined by The Strokes, Jay-Z and Sir Paul McCartney, could be due to the organisers' decision to screen World Cup football at the event.

A special Field of Dreams will be set up, giving football fans to see England's match against the USA, which coincides with the Saturday night of the festival.

Once the match is over, music lovers will be able to rush back to the Main Stage to see The Strokes play, or check out Orbital's performance in the Big Top.
