Tourists can attend Christmas tree festival on Isle of Wight holiday

An Isle of Wight holiday next month could feature a Christmas tree festival which is being held on the island.

The Brighstone Christmas tree festival is entering its 14th year and will be held in the town between December 9th and 12th 2010.

It will see more than 100 uniquely decorated Christmas trees dotted around the centre, with other live entertainment taking place each evening.

This includes carol singing and tree lighting, while families on their Isle of Wight holidays will also be able to take advantage of the festive refreshments which will be available throughout the duration of the festival.

People heading to the island for their Isle of Wight holidays over the new year celebrations can attend a "hangover special" on New Year's Day.

The Isle of Wight Steam Railway is opening up on the day and prides itself as one of the few island tourist attractions to be welcoming tourists on the bank holiday.
