Line-up for Isle of Wight rock event revealed

Isle of Wight holidays are likely to be popular among fans of rock music this November after the line-up for a popular festival was announced.

Thorness Bay Holiday Park will be hosting Isle of Wight Rock and Roll on November 11th and 12th, with Joey and the Jivers one of the top acts to have been revealed as being on the bill.

Bernie Woods and the Forest Fires will also be performing on the Isle of Wight as part of the event, while some of the other groups include Greggi G and His Crazy Gang, The Red Hot Rockers and Johnnie Fox and the Invaders.

The Bobcats and Danny and the Seniors complete the bill of the bands already announced as playing at the event this winter.

Chalets are available for those who want to book Isle of Wight holidays in order to attend the rock festival, with them priced at £95 for two nights and able to house six people.

Bernie Woods and the Forest Fires are playing on the opening day of the event and a number of DJs have also been lined up to perform for those who attend the bash.

These include Rockin' Dave and Paul Blast from the Past, as well as Rockin' Ray and The Bradford Dude, who are both billed as guest DJs.

Tickets are available from £25 for adults, while passes for children cost just £9 each.

Music lovers head to the Isle of Wight throughout the year as the island is a hotbed for festivals, holding some of the most popular events in the UK.

Thousands of people take Isle of Wight holidays in order to attend Bestival, which this year boasted a line-up including Bjork and The Cure.

The Isle of Wight Festival is another of the most popular events on the island and Pulp, Foo Fighters, Kasabian and Kings of Leon were on the bill for the 2011 bash.
