Isle of Wight to host new arts festival

A new arts festival has been announced as taking place on the Isle of Wight next spring, with music, film and comedy all set to be a part of the event.

From April 15th to 17th 2011, Ventnor will be playing host to Isle of Arts, which will also showcase drama, literature and photography.

"We want to focus the spotlight on island talent with workshops and arts projects will be launched to involve schools and islanders of all ages in artistic endeavours and preparations," commented the organisers of the new event.

They added that tickets for the Isle of Arts show are set to be reasonably priced, which could tempt people into booking Isle of Wight holidays in order to coincide with the three-day extravaganza.

Isle of Arts will be mainly centred around the Winter Gardens in Ventnor, although other places in the town will host events.

Accommodation recommended by the organisers for those planning Isle of Wight holidays to attend Isle of Arts includes the Melbourne Ardenlea Hotel in Shanklin.
