Isle of Wight holiday can include live music

Tourists taking Isle of Wight holidays this weekend can see plenty of live musical entertainment during their time on the island.

The Isle of Wight County Press reports that two shows will be taking place over the next couple of days.

Medics Mayhem! is coming to Cowes Yacht Haven on Sunday (October 24th 2010), with medical professionals from the island taking to the stage to raise money for the Earl Mountbatten Hospice.

The IW Symphony Orchestra will perform with four island medics, including Newport GP Emma Dexter and Ryde GP Dr Richard Williams.

Headliners on the day will be The Wight Hot Pipes, who feature St Helens GP Dr Kieron Cooney among their number.

Tomorrow (October 23rd), Keith James will be playing live at the Anthony Minghella Theatre at Quay Arts in Newport.

He will perform songs by Canadian musicians such as Joni Mitchell, Neil Young and Leonard Cohen during a special tribute to the country's musical talents.
