Isle of Wight holiday can feature giant book sale

Visitors to the Isle of Wight on the lookout for a gripping holiday read could try heading to the Giant Book Sale.

Held at the Ventnor Library, the sale is set to take place on August 21st 2010 and will be sure to offer something to suit all tastes, VentnorBlog.com reported.

Whether you are looking for something to pass the time on a quiet summer's day or an educational book to spark the imagination of a youngster, there will be a suitable volume on offer during the day.

The doors to the sale open at 09:30 BST and close at 16:00. However, anyone hoping to pop in at lunchtime may have to wait, as there will be an afternoon break between 12:30 and 13:30.

If the weather is fine during your stay you could try leaving your book at your hotel and taking to the water in a sailing boat, like Peter and Louise Morton, who told the Daily Telegraph it was the opportunities to sail that first attracted them to the Isle of Wight.
