Isle of Wight gets new extreme sports festival

Extreme sports fanatics are set to take Isle of Wight holidays this summer, as a new festival celebrating the hobbies has been launched.

Taking place from September 17th-19th 2010, Big Blue Extreme Sports Festival will be held at Yaverland, on the same site that the White Air Extreme Sports Festival took place before its move to Brighton last year.

Various extreme sports will be on offer for those taking Isle of Wight holidays to coincide with the festival, while there will also be live music from bands and DJs.

Tickets for the weekend are only £20, so attending Big Blue Extreme Sports Festival could be an affordable summer trip for many UK residents who are interested in the activities.

The Isle of Wight is well known for being an ideal location for watersports, due to the south-westerly wind it usually receives off the sea from the direction of France.

When coupled with the stunning scenery on offer on the Isle of Wight, this makes the island perfect for extreme sports fanatics.
