Name change for Isle of Wight band

Isle of Wight band Shadows of the City have changed their name in a bid to shake off the image that their music is "dark and moody".

Now known as Tom Peay, the four-piece are hoping to return to the Isle of Wight in the coming months for a number of live shows following completion of a showcase of their talents in London.

"We haven't performed on the Island yet but when we do it'll be very special for us," founder member Andy Booth told the Isle of Wight County Press.

Earlier this month, Isle of Wight natives Pleasurade held a special gig in Newport to commemorate the launch of the new album Beating Around the Bushes.

Band frontman Chris Boon said before the show: "It's different to performing live, you don't have the noise of the audience to feed off, but we think we have nailed it this time. We're very happy with it."ADNFCR-3083-ID-801563630-ADNFCR
