Mr B the Gentleman Rhymer

Top hole, chaps, report to the Coburgs on the Isle of Wight for an afternoon of hilarious rhyming, courtesy of Mr B the Gentleman Rhymer.

Here to introduce Hip Hop to the Queen's English, the unique performer already has a slew of acclaimed appearances under his belt, having had his ditties of cricket and pipe-smoking recited on BBC Radio 1 and BBC 6Music.

Rizzle Kicks fanatics will recognise Mr B's smooth vocals as those that graced their hit When I Was A Youngster on their recent album.

His reputation as an eloquent and entertaining live performer has allowed him to play recitals across the UK, helped in part by the fact he has become a viral hit on the internet.

The hilarious video Chap Hop History has racked up more than half a million views on the video-sharing website Youtube, while an old school rave medley called Songs For Acid Edward has received acclaim from Orbital's Paul Hartnoll and SL2's DJSlipmatt.

Other fans include established DJs Marc Riley, Steve Lamacq and Tom Robinson, and of course DJ Yoda, whose favourite track is said to be 'Let Me Smoke My Pipe'.

Those wishing to experience Mr B's hilarious stylings for themselves should attend his performance at Coburgs on Union Street in Ryde, taking place on March 21st.

The musical genius will be performing hits from his latest extended play The Tweed Album, which was released in June 2012 and has been described as a "Psychedelic Chap-Hop masterpiece" by reviewers.

Entry is just £5 provided tickets are booked in advance and the concert is open to over 18s only.

"[I'm] on a one-man mission to introduce Hip-Hop to the Queen’s English," Mr B said of his performance style.

Those preferring a different sound need only check the Isle of Wight's calendar of events, as a vibrant entertainment scene means there is always someone of interest performing somewhere on the island.ADNFCR-3083-ID-801686262-ADNFCR
