Isle of Wight garlic farm 'attracts droves of tourists'

Droves of tourists on Isle of Wight holidays can take a trip to a garlic farm on the island during their break.

This is according to the Telegraph, which met with Colin Boswell, who runs The Garlic Farm in the Arreton Valley.

It noted that it is now more than 30 years since Mr Boswell first planted garlic on the Isle of Wight and his farm is a major tourist attraction.

The newspaper commented: "It would be easy to assume that the climate on the Isle of Wight is solely responsible for Colin's garlic-growing success."

But it explained that Mr Boswell travels all over the world in search of garlic he can bring back to the Isle of Wight, with Turkey proving to be a particularly happy hunting ground for the farmer.

He now sells garlic-related products including a cookbook, kitchen equipment, various types of garlic and seeds, while the farm even has its own cafe.
