'Gotta dress up to get down' at Bestival

Individuals heading to Bestival on the Isle of Wight this year have been reminded it's a festival tradition for revellers to dress up in as zany a costume as they can.

As a result, Bestival has put out a new book highlighting the many crazy outfits that have graced the fields of the festival over the years, with the 364-page publication including examples of sartorial elegance right through to downright mad get-ups.

Festival organiser Rob da Bank said: "I don't know what it is about the British. Fancy dress and getting dressed up in eccentric, ridiculous and just plain stylish regalia seem to go hand in hand with our seldom-seen show-off nature ... and nowhere is that more evident than at our beloved Bestival."

He added that for the last ten years revellers at this iconic festival have embraced the world of fancy dress, with partygoers taking to the many arenas of the site in a multitude of exciting and colourful outfits, ranging from pirates to astronauts, animals to cowboys and Indians.

This year promises to be one of the biggest and most impressive Bestival line-ups to date, with global superstars including MIA, Franz Ferdinand, The Flaming Lips and even Sir Elton John all set to perform during the course of the weekend.

The festival will get underway from September 5th to 8th and tickets are still available, starting from £180 for an adult weekend pass, while kids aged 13 to 17 can get in for £127.

With the organisers of the festival also recently receiving permission to raise the overall capacity of the event this year to 80,000, Bestival 2013 is sure to be one of the largest-scale parties on the Isle of Wight social calendar.

So get ready for a lively weekend of fun and great entertainment, with plenty of crazy get-ups, fantastic musical talent and partying to the early hours of the morning all staples of this great Isle of Wight attraction.ADNFCR-3083-ID-801627370-ADNFCR
