Bestival nominated for NME award

Fans of the Isle of Wight festival Bestival will be pleased to hear that the event has been named on the shortlist for an NME award, with the winner to be announced later in the month.

Bestival is among the nominees for Best Festival alongside the likes of V Festival, Reading and Leeds and T in the Park.

The final name on the list for the NME award is Glastonbury, which was the winner at the 2011 ceremony and will arguably provide the biggest competition for the Isle of Wight-based bash.

Meanwhile, Bestival organiser Rob da Bank has been continuing to reveal some of the names on the line-up of this summer's event via his Twitter page.

Mosca will be DJing at the festival after the Radio 1 DJ was announced as being on the Bestival bill, while another name unveiled over the course of the weekend was Camo and Krooked.

This year, Bestival will see a show by Orbital bring the event to an end on the final night.
