Bestival is 'the place to be this summer'

Bestival on the Isle of Wight has been described as being the place to be this summer, with a wide range of great acts offering one of the best festival bills in the country.

According to a preview of the event by God Is In The TV, Bestival announced itself as one of the top events in the UK with a headlining performance by The Cure last year.

It highlighted the fact others such as Bjork raised the reputation of the festival and this has helped it to secure yet more big names for the 2012 bash.

Stevie Wonder is the main headline act ticket holders will be looking forward to seeing this year and he was described as a "living legend" by the site, as well as "the last ambassador of the Motown era who made it to colossal legend status".

Having recently appeared on stage at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee concert, the singer is sure to be one of the must-see performers of the weekend.

"There will not be many more Stevie Wonder UK shows and the fact that Bestival have booked him is a must-watch for any fan of music," it was noted by the website.

Another of the headline acts to be heading to the Isle of Wight this summer to play at Bestival are the Icelandic post-rock outfit Sigur Ros, who are likely to deliver a set that will "astonish and entertain in equal measure".

Other acts singled out for praise by the news provider included Frank Ocean, New Order, Soulwax, Grimes, Ben Howard and Azealia Banks.

Organisers of Bestival - which is held on the Isle of Wight this September - recently unveiled the list of movies that are going to be shown in a late-night screening area of the site, with flicks on the schedule including a Quentin Tarantino double-bill of Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs.
