Getting to Southampton by Sea

Cruise: Southampton is the UK's largest cruise port handling over 450 cruise calls per annum and is home to all P&O and Cunard's ship's. There are 3 cruise terminals, the Mayflower and City Cruise Terminals in the Western Docks and the QEII Terminal in the Eastern docks. All the terminals are beyond walking distance (with luggage) from Red Funnel's terminals so it is recommended that foot passengers catch a taxi.

Southampton ferry routes: Apart from Red Funnel's services between Southampton and the Isle of Wight, White Horse Ferries operate between Southampton's Town Quay and Hythe on the Western Shore.

Portsmouth ferry routes: P&O Ferries operate to/from Bilbao in Spain; Brittany Ferries run to/from Caen, Cherbourg and St Malo in France; LD Lines operate between Portsmouth & Le Havre and Condor Ferries operate a conventional service to Cherbourg and Guernsey.

Poole ferry routes: Brittany Ferrries operate between Poole & Cherbourg and Condor Ferries run high-speed services between Poole & St. Malo and Guernsey in the Channel Islands.

Weymouth ferry routes: Condor Ferries run high-speed services to St. Malo and Guernsey.
