Travel connections in Southampton

Located on the south coast of the UK, Southampton is the gateway to the Isle of Wight and to Cowes, the spiritual home of yacht racing. Southampton has excellent road, rail and coach connections to all parts of the UK. Direct domestic and european flights operate into Southampton Airport and there are good ferry connections to Southampton's Waterside and the New Forest. Travel Connections on the Isle of Wight

The Isle of Wight has an excellent bus service which connects with Red Funnel's ferry services at East and West Cowes. There are also water taxi and conventional taxi ranks adjacent to both Red Funnel's Island terminals. A floating bridge (passengers & vans) connects East and West Cowes across the River Medina saving a 25-30 minute journey by road. See 'Useful Links' for more details.
