Gosport To Southampton

During the Southampton Boat Show in September, Red Funnel will again be running a Red Jet Hi-Speed service between Gosport and Southampton. The crossing time is only 35 minutes, making it quicker than travelling by bus, car or even train! The official dates for the service are the 16th to the 25th September 2005. Red Funnel’s service uses the southern end of Gosport Ferry’s berth, South Street. Tickets can be purchased from the Gosport Ferry Terminal there or at Terminal 2 in Southampton. The bus station is adjacent to the ferry terminal and there are short and long term car parks nearby. There are also close connections with Portsmouth with frequent Gosport Ferry running from Portsmouth Hard (Note: Red Funnel fares do not include travel on the Gosport Ferry). With the usual array of activities plus a range of exciting new features, this years Boat Show is not to be missed. This year the show is sponsered by ITV Meridian and Wave 105 and will include previous favourites such as Try-a-Dive and Concept Boat. Also, it will include The Waterside Property Expo and, for this year only, its own Beach Village, with fashion shows, sandcastle competitions and beach games!
