The fantastic singing workshop ‘Everyone Can Sing’ returns to Newport Minster on Saturday April 14th, with two of the UK’s top choir leaders visiting the Island to teach anyone and everyone how to sing.
Grenville Jones and Mark De-Lisser were featured on the BBC’s ‘Last Choir Standing’ and they will lead this one day singing extravaganza with Grenville leading a choral section and Mark concentrating on gospel styles.
Grenville Jones leads a number of choirs including the famous Bath Male Choir and in recent months he has worked with Gareth Malone on BBC Children in Need with Lee Mead and Rhydian Roberts as well as providing singers for a Stephen Speilberg film.
Mark De-Lisser is best known as conductor of the ACM Gospel Choir who have toured with Russell Watson. He is also the Director of the Singology Choir Project and is in demand as a vocal coach.
The workshop will give you the chance to work with these two brilliant and innovative choir conductors for only £15, which includes your ticket for the concert that evening at 7.30pm in the Minster Church (St Thomas’s Church) and tea/soft drinks during the afternoon.
The concert features the Bath Chorus conducted by Grenville Jones and the Isle of Wight Gospel Choir conducted by Neil Barker. Everyone taking part in the workshop will join in the final group of songs at the end of the concert.
