Dinosaurs on the Isle of Wight
Come Walking with Dinosaurs on the Isle of Wight
The Isle of Wight is the undisputed dinosaur capital of Great Britain and features in the top 6 'best locations' in the world for dinosaur remains.
Using the very latest augmented reality software, visitors who download the Dino Island App can quite literally bring a flying dinosaur back to life on the ferry when travelling across the Solent with Red Funnel. In addition, each of the 6 meteorite locations dotted along the dinosaur coastal trail between Yaverland (nr. Sandown) and The Needles features a different species.
The Dino Island App. gives visitors to the Island the chance to be seen standing alongside dinosaurs in the very place they were discovered.
New technology allows visitors to use their smart phones and tablets to take a picture of their family and friends walking alongside the dinosaurs that roamed the Isle of Wight 130 million years ago, while at the same time learn more about their relatives - the dinosaur characters in the movie.
The Augmented Reality App ‘Dinosaur Island – Isle of Wight will be available to download from anywhere in the world, but will only be triggered into life at seven locations (including Dinosaur Isle Museum) on the Isle of Wight.Downloading & using the App
