Horseriding on the Isle of Wight
The Isle of Wight was made to be explored and to inspire freedom. With literally hundreds of miles of bridleways and a warmer than average climate, one of the most exhilarating ways of enjoying the Island’s landscape has to be on horseback. Take a ride across the downs on bridleways which have been in use since the stone age, or for a truly memorable experience ride through the surf at the beach.
There are a number of excellent riding schools across the Island which cater for visitors all ages and abilities and offer a wonderful way to explore the many paths, bridleways and beaches.

BHS approved riding and training establishment set in the heart of the Island near Godshill. Situated on its own bridle path its possible from Allendale to ride for miles off-road, on bridleways and along leafy country lanes.

Offers year round riding including beach rides (tides permitting), country lanes and bridle paths with minimal road use. In the summer (May-Sep), based at Nodes Point. St Helens. In winter (Oct-Apr) based off Forelands Field Road in Bembridge.
Beginners and experienced young and not so young riders catered for. You will be provided with a hat, a horse and some basic instruction. Booking essential.
