Quay Arts
The Quay Arts Centre is the Isle of Wight’s leading art gallery and venue for live arts events. It is situated in a converted 19th Century brewery warehouse complex located at the head of the River Medina in the centre of Newport. Quay Arts’ theatre is named after Anthony Minghella, the Island-born Oscar-winning director and is one of the best venues on the Island to see live performances. The programme offers theatre, comedy, music, dance, kids and literature with a cinema that shows the best in world and classic film.
Facilities at the complex include 3 galleries, a 134 capacity theatre, a Crafts Council-listed shop and a popular café/bar with a reputation for serving some of the best home-cooked food on the Island. First class conferencing facilities are also available.
Live Events at Quay Arts
- Sat 22 Oct - Sat 3 Dec 2011 - 'Orbit', a new body of artwork at Quay Arts, inspired by the Island's former cold war rocket testing station.

Opening Times
Monday – Wednesday, Friday & Saturday 9:30am – 5pm
Thursdays 9:30 – 8pm.
CLOSED ON SUNDAYS AND BANK HOLIDAY MONDAYS.
Car Parking
Free car parking is available in the car park opposite the front door after 6pm
Disabled Access
Quay Arts has wheelchair access throughout and an infrared hearing loop system is available in the theatre.

Craft Shop
The Quay Arts Craft Shop is a changing showcase for Island and regional craft makers. At any one time more than sixty artist's work is on sale with prices from as little as £5. A large variety of craft is available including ceramics, glass, textiles, metalwork, wood and jewellery.
Cafe/Bar
Quay Arts has built a reputation on offering exceptionally high quality and interesting cuisine in a relaxed and friendly environment, at affordable prices. You can always be assured of attentive and welcoming service.
