Don't miss FolkStation 2012 - great folk, great ale, great family atmosphere
Now in its fourth year, FolkStation has quietly crept up the ladder to become the Isle of Wight's premier folk festival.
Packed with great folk music, concerts, workshops, kids entertainment, dance displays real ale and lots more, FolkStation is very family friendly. For 2012 the festival moves to The Green Barn Field, a new larger venue at Forest Farm near Newport from 6-8 July 2012.

Red Funnel is an official ticket agent and tickets can be purchased below either with or without ferry travel.

By Bus from East Cowes: If travelling as a foot passenger from Southampton to East Cowes catch the number 5 to Newport (every 15 minutes). From Newport catch the number 7 to Yarmouth and alight at Gunville, Vittlefields Cross (A3054).
By Bus from West Cowes: Our Red Jet Hi-Speed service operates between Southampton to West Cowes, in under 25 minutes. From West Cowes the number 1 which departs every 15 minutes, will take you to Newport from where you can catch the number 7 to Yarmouth and alight at Gunville, Vittlefields Cross (A3054).
By Car: Red Funnel sail from Southampton to East Cowes. Upon arrival at East Cowes follow the A3021, and then take the second exit at the roundabout onto Well Rd. Continue to follow A3021, go through 1 roundabout (2.9 miles). At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Racecourse (A3054). Continue to follow A3054 for 2.2 miles. At the next roundabout, take the 5th exit onto Medina Way (A3020). At the next roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Forest Rd (A3054) and after 2.1 miles turn right onto Whitehouse Rd. The entrance to the Green Barn Field is on the right hand side just before you get to Coleman's Lane (0.6 miles). Travel time: 22 minutes (8.7 miles).
