FolkStation 2010

Folkstation from 9-11 July 2010 offers a weekend packed full of great folk music, concerts, workshops, kids entertainment dance displays real ale and lots more. Now in it's third year, FolkStation takes it's name from it's glorious setting at Havenstreet Station, home of the Isle of Wight Steam Railway. With camping included in the ticket price, this is a fantastic event for music fans and families alike!

How to get there

By Car: Red Funnel operate from Southampton to East Cowes. Upon arrival at East Cowes follow the A3021, and then take the first exit at the roundabout, turn right into Park Road, straight ahead onto Briddlesford Road.  Turn left onto Combley Road. Continue on this road and you will reach Isle of Wight Steam Railway which is on your left, and it has its own car park. Travel time: 11 – 14 minutes (6 miles)

By Bus from East Cowes: If travelling as a foot passenger from Southampton to East Cowes catch the number 5 to Newport (every 15 minutes). From Newport catch the number 9 to Wooton Common for the Isle of Wight Railway to Havenstreet.

By Bus from West Cowes: Our Red Jet Hi-Speed service operates between Southampton to West Cowes, in just 23 minutes. From West Cowes the number 1 which departs every 15 minutes, will take you to Newport from where you can catch the number 9 to Wooton Common for the Isle of Wight Railway to Havenstreet.
