Special Events this October in aid of Breast Cancer Campaign

• Pink People Spotting Competition, Model Village Godshill - Throughout October visit the Model Village to spot the more daring residents sporting pink bras for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Make a donation to Campaign at the ticket office to receive your entry form.

• Think Pink Competition, Flamingo Park - Throughout October identify the species in the Think Pink photograph for the chance to win a day out for a family of four at Flamingo Park. Just collect your entry form at reception and submit your answer by Sunday 1 November.

• STEP ON IT - Throughout October get sponsored to walk 46,000 steps for Campaign, a step for every person diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK this year. We’ll provide you with a pedometer and fundraising guide to get you started.

• Isle of Pink Party Walk, Yarmouth Saturday 24 October Stroll our circular route around Yarmouth to raise funds for Campaign. The walk will end in a pink party, so remember to wear your party hats!

• Wizard Week, Haven Street Steam Railway - Sunday 25 – Friday 30 October - Visit the Steam Railway during Wizard Week and take part in pink fundraising games, with proceeds to Breast Cancer Campaign.

• Pinkgang Chine, Blackgang - Thursday 29 October - For one day only, Blackgang Chine is turning pink! Come dressed as pink witches or wizards and enter the fancy dress competition. You can also take part in a pink treasure hunt to find your own bag of booty!

• wear it pink - Friday 30 October - This year we’re asking you to wear it pink for the 125 women diagnosed with breast cancer every day in the UK. Get colleagues, classmates, family and friends to wear an item of pink on the day and donate £2 to help us beat breast cancer.

• Pink Halloween - Saturday 31 October It’s Hocus Pocus Week at the Zoo, with a special Pink Halloween event. Get into the spirit by wearing your best pink outfit and watch as the staff give the animals pink Halloween presents. Get a closer look at the inhabitants of the bat hospital as they’ll be special guests for the day!
• Quiz Night, Newport FC - Friday 13 November - Take part in the popular music quiz at Newport FC and raise funds for Campaign. The quiz starts at 7.30pm in the Club House. Maximum of four people per team, £2.50 entry per person. Space is limited, so please register your team in advance by contacting Alison on 01983 525027.
