Annual Walk the Wight
Sunday 12 May 2013
The annual 'Walk the Wight' is a spectacular 26.5 mile sponsored walk across the breadth of the Isle of Wight from Bembridge in the east to Alum Bay in the west.
Last year just under 10,000 people took part in this lovely walk across some of the Island’s most beautiful hills and countryside and all the money raised goes towards running the Isle of Wight Hospice.
The Organiser - Isle of Wight Hospice
The Isle of Wight Earl Mountbatten Hospice is a charity which cares absolutely free of charge for over 800 terminally ill patients on the Island. Its existence very much depends on funds raised by volunteers and walkers taking part in 'Walk the Wight'.
