Earl Mountbatten Hospice is the Island’s only hospice and a centre of excellence for end of life care. All its services are free of charge.

Last year it cost £7million to run the Hospice and its services. 35% in funding was received from the NHS, which means a massive 65% of this was raised by the community.

EMH cares for patients with conditions including cancer, heart failure, Motor Neurone Disease, Dementia, liver failure, heart and lung disease and kidney failure. They also provide support to their families, friends and carers both during the illness and into bereavement.

EMH also works with the NHS and Children’s Community Team to support end of life care for children and young people on the Island.

This year Walk the Wight aims to raise £300,000 to support the future of patient and family care from EMH. With your support we can ensure their work continues and their services remain free of charge for current and future generations.
