- Distance from East Cowes: 6.8 miles
- Journey time by car from East Cowes: about 17 mins
Directions: 1½ miles SW of Newport. From East Cowes follow the A3021 and then the A3054 to Newport. At Newport follow the A3020 onto the B3323, though Newport town centre, along East Street, South Street, Pyle Street and onto Carisbrooke Road. Take a left turn onto Castle Road (B3341) and then straight ahead onto Castle Hill. Carisbrooke Castle is on the left and has its own car park. From West Cowes take a taxi or bus service 1 to Newport & service 6, 7 or 11 from Newport to Carisbrooke
