Red Jet Tickets
Red Jet foot passenger tickets are available from Southampton (Terminal 2), Hythe (Hythe Ferry) and West Cowes, either in advance of travel or on the day of departure. Self-serve ticket machines (cash/card) should be used when Red Funnel ticket offices are closed.
Please allow extra time to purchase tickets if travelling at peak times as it is a turn-up-and-go service and it's not possible to pre-book. Children aged under 12 must be accompanied by a responsible fare paying adult.
Red Jet/Rail Through Tickets
At West Cowes you can purchase through Red Jet/rail tickets to any station on the UK rail network.
Tickets types include Rail Cards, Travel Cards for London Bus & Underground services and seat reservations. Don't forget there are many 2FOR1 Offers available to London and surrounding area attractions when travelling by train.
- UK rail stations: All stations (including many ticket machines) sell tickets to Cowes (West) which is inclusive of the Red Jet fare.
- Online: Trainline and raileasy sell tickets to Cowes (West) for journeys startng from any mainland rail station.
Red Jet/Coach Through Tickets
Through National Express Coach/Red Jet passengers tickets can be purchased from any coach served location to West Cowes and similar through tickets can be bought from West Cowes Ticket Office to any National Express served destination. Coaches services in Southampton operate from Harbour Parade - please use the CityLink bus service from the Red Jet, the stop by ASDA is best for the Coach Station.
Red Jet/Isle of Wight Bus Through Tickets
Isle of Wight Bus Rover tickets are available from Red Funnel's Southampton Terminal 2 Ticket Office if purchased with a Red Jet ticket.
- There is no fixed check-in time but it is advisable to arrive at least 12 minutes before departure to allow time to purchase a ticket. At busy times (17:00-18:00 Mon-Fri ex Southampton and 07:30-08:30 Mon-Fri ex West Cowes) please arrive a little earlier to ensure you catch your intended sailing.
- Boarding normally commences 5-7 minutes prior to departure via the covered passenger walkway. Valid tickets must be presented to a member of staff on boarding - please note it is not possible to buy tickets onboard.
