Fares for the Red Jet service to West Cowes are shown below. It is not possible to pre-book so simply turn up on the day, purchase your preferred ticket and take off!
Books of saver tickets and season tickets are available for frequent travellers and through rail/ferry tickets to Cowes (West) can be purchased from any mainland rail station ticket office or rail ticket machine.
Before you travel, call in at the Steam Coffee Company at Terminal 2, Town Quay, Southampton for a premium coffee and delicious cake or pastry.

NEW - Day Return tickets from Hythe to West Cowes (travelling via connecting Hythe Ferries services to Southampton Town Quay) are available from the Hythe Ferry Ticket Office in Hythe from Monday 24 June 2013. Click here for timetable information. Car parking close to the ferry terminal in Hythe is available for £5 for 20 hours (as of June 2013).
Cycle and Car Hire is available from Top Gear Rentals in West Cowes tel. 01983 299056 to pre-book. Unfortunately only foldable cycles carried in bags are permitted on the Red Jet service.
Fare Rules & Conditions
- Infants (0-4 yrs) travel FREE and do not require a ticket, but must be in the care of a fare paying adult.
- ≡ Dogs are charged at the above rates, no other discounts applicable. Guide and Assistance Dogs travel free of charge.
- Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a responsible fare paying adult.
- All amendments are free of charge, however a fare difference may apply if you increase the length of your stay
- Passenger tickets are non refundable

*Off-Peak Returns: Valid for outward departure from Southampton Monday to Friday from 1815 hrs and at anytime on weekends, return journey from West Cowes can be after 09:15 on weekdays and at anytime on weekends. Not available for travel from Southampton on 13 & 14 June, and 5 & 6 September 2013. Not available for travel from West Cowes on 17 June and 9 September 2013. Senior Citizens: Weekday off-peak travel valid after 0915 from Southampton.
**Super Off Peak Day Return: Valid for both the Vehicle Ferry and Red Jet service, when two people travel together after 11.15 am. Valid seven days a week. Only one ticket will be issued and both passengers must travel together or the ticket will become void and an upgrade charge will be applicable. Not available for travel from Southampton on 13 & 14 June, 2 - 11 August and 5 & 6 September 2013.
† Family Day Return: Party must contain 3 or 4 people. At least one person must be an adult/senior and one person must be a child/infant. Party must travel together in both directions. Family Fares are valid from 0915 hrs from Southampton Monday to Friday and anytime on weekends. Not available for travel from Southampton on 13 & 14 June, and 5 & 6 September 2013.
Escorted Child Offer: Applies to adults who are dropping-off or collecting a child in West Cowes. Purchase one adult day return or adult off-peak day return and receive one FREE single child ticket which can be used for the outward OR return leg of the journey. The adult must return on the next available sailing. If an adult is travelling with more than one child, additional child tickets are available at the normal single rate. Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
‡ Group returns: Applies to groups of at least 4 adults or 4 children travelling together in both directions. Standard Group Fares are valid from 0915 hrs from Southampton Monday to Friday. Off-peak Group Fares are valid from 1815 hrs from Southampton Monday to Friday and anytime weekends. Groups of 12 or more persons, not valid for travel on sailings from Southampton between 17.15 to 18.15 inclusive. Not available for travel from Southampton on 13 & 14 June and 5 & 6 September 2013. Not available for travel from West Cowes on 17 June and 9 September 2013.
