Saver Tickets are aimed at ad-hoc travellers, students and corporate customers who want a flexible solution to cross-Solent foot travel passenger travel. Two types are available:

a) Both Red Funnel routes (Southampton/West Cowes & Southampton/East Cowes)
b) Southampton/East Cowes route (only)

Day Return Saver Tickets are available in books of 20 tickets with discounts for Isle of Wight residents† and Students. Single Saver Tickets are available in books of 20, 40 and 100 tickets. All Saver Tickets are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

2012 Prices

• Books of 100 Adult or Senior Saver Tickets purchased online come with a Travel Card, pre-charged with £16.70 (excludes purchases at the Ticket Offices or using a Red Funnel credit account). The Travel Card can be used during the validity period to part-pay for a vehicle booking or to buy standard foot passenger tickets. It can be topped-up at any time and used to make bookings and buy tickets at discounted rates.

*Student Saver Tickets offer great discounts and flexibility to students living on the Isle of Wight who attend mainland Colleges or Universities, Student Saver tickets are sold in book form. Each book contains 20 individual Hi-Speed day return tickets which are valid for travel on any day and at any time when accompanied by a Student ID card (issued annually) bearing the holders photograph. Student Saver tickets expire on 31 July each year, regardless of the date of issue.

ID cards are issued on application for each academic year (01 Sept to 31 July) and are issued subject to receipt of a course acceptance letter and passport size photograph.

How to purchase books of Saver Tickets

Adult, Student & Child Saver Tickets for both routes can be purchased online (see below). Adult or Child Saver Tickets can also be purchased from Red Funnel Ticket Offices.

If you have booked car travel before online with Red Funnel you will probably already have a My Red Funnel account so please login (top right) and look for the Saver Ticket option in the left-hand menu.

1. If you don't have a My Red Funnel login you will need to register
2. Once setup and logged-in, just click on Purchase Saver Tickets in the left hand menu of the My Red Funnel website.
3. Complete the order form and pay using your debit/credit card
4. You should receive your saver tickets within 5 working days.
