Red Funnel's Customer Satisfaction

In 2014, we changed the methodology and introduced a continuous independent review system using Feefo's online platform. Customers using our Southampton<>East Cowes service are sent an email and are asked to rate Red Funnel's overall service and to score the sailings on which they travelled. First time we have every been on Red funnel ferries and wouldn't hesitate to us them again. So easy to book on line. Excellent follow up information supplied. All staff we meet where professional, polite, and helpful. Really enjoyed the guys antics on Southampton boarding side. Doing his little dance, and greeting all those he unloaded and loaded onto the ferry.
Having not been on your ferry before we didn't know what to expect. Very pleased with your staffs attentiveness. Everywhere was clean & a smooth crossing.
It is always a pleasure to deal with Red Funnel's staff who are invariably helpful and friendly. Through unfortunate circumstances however (I believe a passenger on an early ferry was ill) my return journey from Cowes yesterday evening was delayed by an hour. It would have been a nice touch if Red Funnel could have made a small gesture of recognition of some sort by offering us a coffee or soft drink while we waited ... it would have helped!
Crap food on board, poor choice and condiment pouches impossible to open. Ferry delayed 55 minutes for no explained reason, i missed my onward connection as a result. Extremely expensive crossing and was bombarded with spam texts after foolishly giving up my mobile number, I would rather swim than take red funnel.
Our 10.30 sailing was extremely late arriving at East Cowes and it was 12.02 before we disembarked to proceed to West Cowes for a double funeral.

That changed what should have been plenty of time into a rather anxious rush which fortunately was compensated for by unusual minimal delay getting through Newport.

Customer Service OK as usual - return trip at 16.30 on time [with slight delay for medical issue on the boat leaving So'ton] which was beyond your control.

Smooth quiet engines both ways on Eagle and Falcon.
All in all a good experience plus the weather was wonderful which made the crossings really calm and pleasurable.
Expensive ferry service. Service levels by on-board personnel needs improving. Joking hand-signals by Soton marshall did not engender spence of professionalism in safety staff. Organisation of car boarding at Cowes rather poor
Good loading and unloading had a snack going out and coffee coming back. All good
