Red Funnel presented with destination marketing award
25 March 2015 – Red Funnel Ferries has been presented with a certificate of appreciation by Visit Isle of Wight Ltd in recognition of its contribution to marketing the Isle of Wight.
The award was presented by David Thornton, CEO of Visit Isle of Wight to Red Funnel's CEO Kevin George onboard the new look Red Osprey in front of invited guests from the media.
Red Funnel is a founding member of Visit Isle of Wight which is a private sector led, not for profit DMO (Destination Management Organisation) responsible for the Island's tourism marketing.
Red Funnel invests heavily in marketing the Isle of Wight to visitors and is one of a small number of businesses who contribute financially to the campaigns run by Visit Isle of Wight. Jonathan Green, Red Funnel's Marketing & Communications Director also chairs the DMO's marketing steering group.
