Queen Elizabeth Excursions
Bon Voyage Queen Elizabeth!
Queen Elizabeth, Cunard's brand new liner, arrived in Southampton, her home port, for the first time on the 8th October 2010.
She will be departing on her Maiden Voyage to the Canary Islands on Tuesday 12 October at 17:00.
Red Funnel is operating a special Maiden Voyage Cruise, following Queen Elizabeth away from her berth and departing on her maiden voyage. This excursion will give you a unique opportunity to experience first-hand the electric atmosphere of a Maiden Voyage departure.
This 2½ hour voyage departs Southampton at 16:00. Tickets can be pruchased on the day from the Red Funnel Vehicle FerryTerminal in Southampton.
Tickets purchased before 6 October 2010 for the Red Eagle excursion will receive tickets by post by Saturday 9 October 2010. If you have purchased tickets for the the Red Eagle excursion after this date please bring your eTicket (email confirmation) on the day, to board.
Tue 12 October - Maiden Voyage Cruise
To book: Tickets can be purchased on arrival at the Red Funnel vehicle ferry terminal in Southampton.
Vessel: Red Eagle - Passenger Vehicle Ferry
With two outside viewing decks, guests will be afforded great views of the Queen Elizabeth and the fireworks as she leaves her berth. We will then follow her down Southampton Water towards Cowes as she departs on her maiden voyage.
Timing: Tuesday 12 October, departs Southampton Terminal 1 at 16:00 and returns to Southampton terminal by 18:30. Queen Elizabeth is scheduled to leave her berth at 17:00.
Refreshments: Coffee Shop/Bar/Restaurant serving hot meals, sandwiches, pies and pastries available onboard. Major Debit/Credit Cards and cash accepted.
Official Merchandise: A range of official Curnard Queen Elizabeth merchandise will be available to purchase onboard (cash only)
Isle of Wight residents: Will include free return crossing for foot passengers on the vehicle ferry service from East Cowes, either the 13:30 or 14:30 departures from East Cowes only on 12 October. Excludes travel on the Red Jet.
Facilities: Toilets, Baby Changing Facilities, Free Wi:Fi, Wheelchair accessible (except top outer deck).
