Clipper Round the World Race - Sun 22 July 2012
The Clipper 11-12 Round the World Yacht Race will finish in the historic maritime city of Southampton on the south coast of England on Sunday 22 July 2012. At 40,000 miles the event is the world’s longest sailing race and it will have taken the ten identical 68-foot ocean racing yachts almost a year to complete their circumnavigation of the globe.

Join Red Jet 4 in a special Flotilla Parade up Southampton Water to Ocean Village on Sun 22 July 2012 to celebrate the end of the Clipper 2011/12 Round the World race and the RYA's 'Push the Boat Out' campaign.

FAQ's
Q. Do I need to buy tickets in advance?
A. Yes, places are limited and are expected to sell out very quickly.
Q. Will I be able to get a good view of proceedings?
A. Guest numbers are limited to ensure everybody gets a good view. Access to the outer deck will be permitted but access is via fairly steep steps and it is not available to wheelchair users.
Q. What conditions apply to accessing the outer deck?
A. Access to the top outside deck of the Red Jet at slow speeds will be permitted subject to the terms and conditions printed on the reverse of the ticket you will be given on arrival. By boarding the craft you will be deemed to have accepted these conditions.
Itinerary:
10:30 hrs - Depart Terminal 2, Town Quay, Southampton
11:00 hrs - Depart West Cowes
12:15 hrs - Parade up Southampton Water
13:00 hrs - Overhead Air Display by Yakovlevz formation team
13:30 hrs - Approx Return Terminal 2, Southampton
Please arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the vessels departure time from Southampton. Parking is available (charge applies) from the Triangle Car Park a short walk from Town Quay.
Guests joining the excursion at West Cowes will be able to travel back to the Island on the scheduled 1445 hrs Red Jet sailing at no extra charge.
